Recap
Pirates were too good for the Jets in what turned out to be a tough night out for the home team, running out 3-1 winners.
After conceding a early goal after just 11 minutes, the Jets looked like they had found a way back into the fixture after a Tim Henderson equaliser in the 20th minute, however the match was turned on its head within just three minutes after Henderson conceded a free kick on the edge of the penalty area, picking up a yellow card in the process. Pirates man of the match Skeffington brilliantly converted the free kick giving Pirates the lead in the 36th minute. Just sixty seconds later, Henderson mistimed a tackle in midfield as he chased down a poor Modbury pass and picked up a second yellow and a difficult fixture became even harder with only ten men on the pitch.
An early goal in the second half, scored from a poorly defended corner, killed off the match and Pirates controlled the remainder of the game to come away with the points.
