The Jets travel to Ramsay Park, Elizabeth West for midweek Cup action, away to Playford on Thursday 18 April with kickoff at 7:00pm.
Modbury turn their attention to the FFA Cup Preliminary Rounds where it has been drawn away to the Patriots in Round 2. After a solid win against State League 2 opponent Cobras in the first round, the Jets face a much more difficult test on this occasion. Playford have made a creditable start to their league campaign following promotion to sit just outside the top six after seven rounds. The Patriots will be looking forward to hosting league leader Modbury in the Cup to gauge their progress, with the corresponding league fixture a fortnight later.
The Jets are in fine scoring form following a comfortable 4-0 win over a depleted Salisbury United last weekend, with a McGreevy brace taking his tally for the season to eight in eight matches and Josh Farrell also contributing with six from six starts. The strikers will be hoping to get their names on the scoresheet again this week.
In what promises to be an entertaining match, Modbury will fancy their chances to progress in the competition and maybe secure another elusive home Cup tie.
Modbury and Playford haven’t met in a competitive fixture since the 2016 State League 1 season when the Jets prevailed 4-1 at home, with a brace from Sam Voigt, and secured a 2-1 away win.
