Modbury take on South Adelaide at Jet Park on Saturday 11 April in our Round 10 PS4 NPL fixture, with a 1:00pm kick off to accommodate Adelaide United’s match on Saturday afternoon.
It’s been almost a month since we last played at home following a run of away league fixtures that have seen the Jets take seven points from a possible nine. In fact, all of our points so far this season have been earned away from Jet Park, so we are overdue for a result at home and our supporters will be expecting nothing less than three points against the bottom of the league Panthers.
South Adelaide have always proven to be a difficult opponent for the Jets and Modbury will need to reproduce the sort of form that saw us beat Adelaide City and White City in the last two rounds if we are to prevail. We last played the Panthers during the 2013 State League season where we were beaten 4-3 away, and 2-1 at Jet Park. At the end of that season, South Adelaide were promoted to the Premier League as runners up to West Adelaide with the Jets finishing in third place, just three points behind.
