After earning a hard-fought point away to Raiders in our Regional Round match in Whyalla, the Jets face another difficult fixture against Adelaide City at Oakden on Saturday, with kickoff at 3:00pm.
We go into the match with self-belief after a much improved performance against Raiders – a match that we should feel disappointed not to have won. While Adelaide City is undoubtedly a formidable opponent, they will be unhappy with their early form and Modbury will be looking to capitalise on City’s slow start to the season. We will be expecting another positive performance on Saturday which will give us every opportunity to come away from the match with a result.
We haven’t played Adelaide City in a competitive match since the 2011 Super League season when we were soundly beaten 8-0 at Oakden before going down 5-3 at home in the return fixture.
