In their penultimate home match of the 2016 season, Modbury host Salisbury United at Jet Park in their Round 19 State League 1 fixture on Friday 22 July at 7:30pm.
The Jets must put the disappointment of heavy losses in the last two rounds behind them if they are to get a result out of this northern derby. With Salisbury two points adrift, and Western Strikers and Adelaide Victory only a point behind, three points are a must if Modbury are to keep their place in the top six. Both sides will find the conditions difficult, however Modbury will be expecting a strong performance on home turf. With only four matches to go, every fixture is vitally important if the Jets have finals aspirations.
In the away fixture in Round 8, the Jets escaped with a fortuitous 2-2 draw coming from behind twice with a goal from Sabatho just before the half-time break, and an equalising penalty from Gaston deep in second-half injury time.
