Modbury’s U18s and Reserves are looking to book their place in the Grand Final in Preliminary Finals clashes on Saturday 3 September against Western Strikers and Cumberland respectively. Both fixtures are at The Paddocks, with the U18s kicking off at 9:30am and the Reserves at 12:00pm.
Despite the disappointment of seeing the First Team eliminated against Sturt Lions last weekend, Jets’ supporters still have plenty to cheer about with two of our senior teams still in the hunt for a Grand Final berth. Both teams have survived two elimination finals to make it this far having each finished sixth on the ladder and will be looking to continue their excellent finals form.
With just one more win required to make the Grand Final the U18s will be looking to atone for their Cup Final loss earlier in the season with another finals appearance. The Reserves appear to have put some indifferent late-season performances behind them and are well placed to finish off their 2017 campaign in style. But both teams will have to be at their very best to progress – neither has beaten their Preliminary Final opponent in the league this season.
Para Hills have announced that entry will be free, so there’s no excuse for Jets’ supporters not to make your way down to The Paddocks to support their teams.
