Modbury travel to West Beach on Sunday for their Round 10 fixture against Sturt Lions at the Adelaide Shores Football Centre. Kick-off is at 3:00pm.
Sixth placed Modbury take on seventh placed Sturt with both sides hoping to claim the points and improve their position on a congested league ladder. The Jets are on a five-match unbeaten run but come up against a Sturt side that will be full of confidence after a convincing home win in the last round. Playing on an artificial surface with undoubtedly favour the home side however Modbury take some great form into the match and, with a disciplined performance, should be confident of getting the win.
The Jets last faced Sturt during our 2014 State League campaign where Modbury claimed a 3-1 home win, with Green, Kelly and Giacomelli on the scoresheet, and a 4-0 away win (with the fixture played at Jet Park due to a scheduling clash at Adelaide Shores) following a Westervelt brace and goals for Bowman and McNally.
