Modbury return to Jet Park on Friday 27 May for their Round 12 State League 1 fixture against White City with kick-off at 7:30pm.
Unbeaten in seven and without a home loss, the Jets will be looking to continue their form in this vital clash against second place White City. A narrow 1-0 win over Adelaide Victory, in a dour performance, saw Modbury climb to fourth place on the ladder, just four points behind second placed White City. The Jets will have to be much better to get the three points on Friday, but undoubtedly have the quality up front to get on the scoresheet and with the second best defence in the league (only bettered by leaders Para Hills) will be looking to edge their opponent and close the gap on the leaders.
In two meetings this season, White City have recorded narrow home wins over the Jets in a 1-0 victory in Round 1 of the State League 1 campaign, and a 2-1 win in Round 1 of the FFA Cup, with Maio on the scoresheet with a late consolation goal.
