Modbury is at home on Saturday 8 June for its Round 13 State League 1 fixture against Western Strikers. Kick off is at 3:00pm.
The Jets remain top of the league following their convincing 5-0 win away to Noarlunga in Round 12, however White City remain just a point behind. Modbury know that they will need to keep winning to maintain their league position.
Western Strikers are sitting in fifth position after holding third-placed Sturt to a draw last week and are unbeaten in their last five league fixtures. Strikers will be looking to consolidate their position in the top six.
Modbury boast the best attack in the league and leading scorers Josh Farrell and Shaun McGreevy were both on the scoresheet against Noarlunga (with Farrell scoring his second hat-trick of the season against the Bulldogs). At the other end of the pitch, another clean sheet will please goalkeeper Griffiths with the Jets having conceded only eight so far this season.
Modbury know that they need to keep winning if they are to clinch the league title, and will be favourites to take all three points at home however an in-form Western Strikers will be a difficult opponent as always.
The Jets came away with a narrow 1-0 win away at Carnegie Reserve in Round 2 of the 2019 State League 1 season, with a 91st minute McGreevy penalty clinching the result.
