Modbury travel to Carnegie Reserve, Royal Park to take on Western Strikers in Round 16 of the State League 1 competition. Kick-off is at the traditional time of 3:00pm.
The Jets need to capitalise on their brilliant victory over Para Hills in the last round by turning in a similar performance against Western Strikers, a side only a point behind them on the ladder.
The week off following the Cup finals, which included the Modbury Under 18s creditable performance at Coopers Stadium, has provided an opportunity for players to recover from niggling injuries. It will be important however for the Jets to maintain their concentration and put in another disciplined performance on Saturday if they are to get the all important points away from home.
Modbury last met Western Strikers in Round 5 where they were held to a 1-1 draw at home, with Steve Maio on the scoresheet.
