Modbury travel to AA Bailey Reserve to play the last of three consecutive away league fixtures against Cumberland United at 3:00pm on Saturday 6 April.
After a confident performance in the Cup last week, the Jets will be looking forward to resuming their league campaign against a tough opponent. Modbury has always found Cumberland a difficult side to beat and will need to be at their best to get a result away from home.
The Jets are top of the table after five rounds, ahead of White City on goal difference, and will be expecting to retain their position. Cumberland will be looking to bounce back after a surprise loss to Fulham in the last round to close the gap on the league leaders. It should be an entertaining match played on a good quality surface that will allow for an open style of play from two very good teams.
Modbury will be expecting McGreevy to keep up his goal-scoring form, with five in six matches, while a sound defensive performance will be necessary.
Modbury and Cumberland played out two draws during the 2018 State League 1 season, with 1-1 results home and away, before the Jets prevailed 1-0 at home during the second week of the finals series.
