The Jets return to Smith Partners Stadium at 3:00pm on Saturday 9 June for their Round 6 catch-up match against Seaford.
With the match originally postponed to accommodate the qualifying round of the FFA Cup, Saturday represents a great opportunity for Modbury to get its season back on track with a much-needed win. After three consecutive losses (including the Cup semi-final against Croydon) the Jets must deliver an improved performance to get a result this week after a poor recent run of form in the league. Back-to-back losses to Noarlunga and Pirates, following a poor second half at home to White City, has seen Modbury plummet from equal-top to fifth place, albeit only four points adrift of the leaders.
Modbury and Seaford have already met this season in a tight Cup quarter-final where the two sides could only be split following a penalty shootout, which favoured the Jets on the night. Seaford will be full of confidence following their home win over Cumberland last week and will fancy their chances against a misfiring Modbury however given the quality of the squad assembled in 2018, supporters will be confident that the players can turn things around this weekend.
