The Jets travel to Steve Jarvis Park on Saturday 30 April for their Round 8 State League 1 clash against Salisbury United. Kick off is at 3:00pm.
After back-to-back wins, Modbury will be looking to build on these results to continue their climb up the league table. It has been pleasing to see real improvements in quality of Modbury’s performances over the past few weeks, and much better application by the players. Credit also goes to the coaching staff who have demonstrated great tactical awareness in setting up the team to earn wins both home and away against strong opposition.
The Jets shouldn’t underestimate this week’s opponent who are always difficult to beat, especially at home, and will be full of confidence after getting a result at home against Cove in the last round. Modbury will, however, be looking forward to the return of senior players to the squad this week and should settle for nothing less than three points from the fixture.
Modbury last met Salisbury in the league during their promotion-winning 2014 State League season where they went down 2-0 away, and were held to a 0-0 draw at home.
