Congratulations to the Modbury Under 18s who finished the season in fifth place and therefore go on to compete in the finals series this weekend, with an elimination final away to Campbelltown at Steve Woodcock Sports Centre. Kick off is at 9:30am on Saturday 22 August.
After a slow start to their campaign, the Under 18s put in a run of consistent performances which saw them climb into the top six, where they remained for the rest of the season.
The Jets will be looking for their first win over Campbelltown this year having been soundly beaten 5-1 away in Round 5 in March, with Sullivan on the scoresheet, and losing 2-0 at home in Round 18 in June. However in an elimination match with everything to play for, Modbury will no doubt be up for the challenge and looking to progress further in the finals series.
Modbury’s faithful supporters, who have undoubtedly endured a roller coaster of emotions this season, are encouraged to get out on Saturday and cheer on the lads.
